当社は内宮天照皇大神宮と申し

今を去る千三百年の昔　慶雲三年八月

伊勢国五十鈴川の川上から

日本民族の大祖神　天照大神を勧請

古来新居地方に在りて　西の伊曽乃　東の内宮と並び称せらる

This shrine is called "Utinomiya　Teisho Koutai Jingu".
In ancient times (1300 years ago, or August of the 3rd year during the Keiun era),
The Great Sun Goddess of all Japanese descent Amaterasu-Oomikami was greeted there,
On the upper reaches of the river called "Isuzu-gawa".
As passed down from olden times, the West is called by the name "Isono", the East "Uchinomiya".
